AUDITION FOR BERKELEY PLAYHOUSE

PROFESSIONAL SEASON AUDITIONS

Berkeley Playhouse is a professional theatre producing plays and musicals with an ensemble of the Bay Area's top directors, choreographers, musicians, designers, and performers. Auditions at Berkeley Playhouse are by invitation only. Berkeley Playhouse operates under a Guest Artist Tier 2 agreement with Actors' Equity Association and offers generous stipends for non-union actors.

GENERAL CONSIDERATION

For general consideration, please submit your digital photo (jpg format) and resume (pdf format) to casting@berkeleyplayhouse.org

PROJECT SPECIFIC

Actors interested in auditioning for a specific role in a specific production should submit their digital photo (jpg format), resume (pdf) format and a letter of interest indicating the specific role and production of interest to casting@berkeleyplayhouse.org


CURRENTLY CASTING

PIPPIN ADULT AUDITIONS

Berkeley Playhouse is currently taking NON-UNION submissions for a few remaining audition slots for it's upcoming production of Pippin. Book by Roger O. Hirson, Music and Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. Directed by Kimberly Dooley with Musical Direction by Michael Patrick Wiles and Choreography by Kimberly Dooley and Allison Paraiso.

Berkeley Playhouse embraces ambitiously diverse casting—actors of all ethnicities and gender identifications encouraged to submit. Berkeley Playhouse operates under a Guest Artist Tier 2 agreement with Actor's Equity Association and offers generous travel stipends for non-union actors.

PIPPIN YOUTH AUDITIONS

Berkeley Playhouse is currently seeking youth actors for the role of THEO / PLAYER (this role will be double cast). Age 9-12, Vocal Range A3-C5, voice not yet changed. Catherine's son. Bold and curious.

Berkeley Playhouse Students who meet the above age and vocal requirements will have the opportunity to reserve an audition slot between August 27 – September 3. On September 3 a public casting announcement will be made, at which time an audition slot is no longer guaranteed for BPH students.

*Please note—it will NOT be possible for Berkeley Playhouse Students to participate in Winter/Spring KidStage or TeenStage and Pippin (if cast).
