Berkeley Playhouse is seeking a General Manager to start ASAP. We are a dual producing entity with both a robust musical theater conservatory program and a five production professional musical theater season. Candidates should have previous experience in non-profit or arts management, be committed to working in a team environment, and be highly organized, flexible, positive and creative under pressure.

The General Manager reports to the Executive Director and oversees day-to-day operations, finance management and marketing, and coordinates fundraising/grant writing efforts and events.

The GM manages the Patron Services team, Marketing Team, Facilities team and the Managing Associate. This position requires strong communication skills and excellent organizational skills and follow through. The GM ensures the smooth day-to-day operations of the theater.

Desired qualifications:
  • Nonprofit management experience required.
  • Excellent verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with nonprofit budgeting, HR, and fundraising a plus.
This is a full-time position with benefits and the salary range is based on experience. Berkeley Playhouse is an equal opportunity employer.

Teaching Artist

Berkeley Playhouse Conservatory is seeking vibrant, inspiring, dynamic and experienced musical theatre teaching artists for after school classes and holiday camps.

Applicants should have significant experience in performing as well as directing and teaching children. Classes are arranged by age and experience level; students range in ages from 2-18 and are enrolled at various levels from beginner through pre-professional.

Front of House Staff

We are currently accepting resumes for front of house staff positions. Responsibilities include general house management duties such as checking tickets, directing patrons to their seats, seating late patrons, and working counter service at concessions when necessary.
