Urinetown, The Musical

The most hysterical musical comedy about a drought-ridden town--ever.

April 6 - April 30

Music and Lyrics by Mark Hollmann. Book and Lyrics by Greg Kotis

“The happiest musical in town! One of the most original new musicals in a long time.” - San Francisco Chronicle

Winner of 3 Tony Awards!

Calendar - Urinetown

Don’t let the title fool you, in the hysterically clean Urinetown, The Musical, Les Mis, Fiddler on the Roof, and even West Side Story gets spoofed in this Tony Award winning, socially aware comedy that takes on corporate greed and environmental responsibility while spoofing some of Broadway’s biggest hits. Set in a not-so-distant future in which water is in short supply—and city residents must pay to use restrooms—a young bathroom attendant decides to challenge authority and free the toilets! As clean as a newly scrubbed toilet, and as fresh—and hilariously original—as any musical you’ve ever seen.

Run Freedom Run ” ” as performed by the original Broadway cast of Urinetown, The Musical on the 56th annual Tony Awards. When bathroom attendant Bobby Strong must convince his rag-tag band of followers that running away from something scary is never the way to do good in the world, he breaks into the show-stopping, “Run Freedom Run” (which is also a spoof on the classic “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat” song from Guys and Dolls). watch now
