FAQ:

Where will camp be located?:

Camps will be held in-person* at either:
  • School of the Madeleine, located at: 1225 Milvia St, Berkeley (Enter at Berryman & Henry)
  • Berkeley Playhouse (Julia Morgan Theater), located at: 2640 College Avenue, Berkeley
  • St. Johns Presbyterian Church, located at: 2727 College Avenue, Berkeley

*Locations are subject to change.

Do you offer Before-Care and/or After-Care?:
Yes, Before-Care is offered for summer camps from 8-9am Monday-Friday and After-Care is offered 3-6pm Monday-Thursday. We will not be offering a drop-in option for Before-Care or After-Care this year. All attendees to extended care must pre-register for Before- and/or After-care for the full week.

Will there be a performance?:
Due to the limited timeframe, our one-week camps focus on community- and skill-building instead of working toward a full performance for friends and family. Students in these camps will perform for their fellow campers, however there will not be an invited Final Showing.
If an invited Final Showing is important to you and your family, please consider enrolling in a two week or three-week camp*.

*We plan to hold invited Final Showings for all two- and three-week camps. This is subject to change based on CDC and local mandates and/or site regulations.

Why is there no full video?
As a small non-profit organization, we do not have the staff resources to produce an edited full-length video for every camp cohort.

We encourage you to invite your camper to share the games, scenes, and songs that they have enjoyed throughout the week and to show off their art & crafts projects!

About the Camps

Musical Theater Camp inspired by Annie

Grades 2-7
6/10 - 7/26 (1-week, 2-week & 3-week options available)

When big-hearted Annie, a child at the callous Miss Hannigan's orphanage for girls, is adopted by billionaire Oliver Warbucks, she gets a taste for how the other half lives in the Big Apple. "The sun'll come out tomorrow" in this Broadway musical classic that explores themes of optimism, friendship, and justice, and shows that oftentimes all a kid needs is the love of true family and friends—plus a faithful pup named Sandy!

Musical Theater Camp inspired by  Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory

Grades K-5
6/3 - 8/2 (1-week & 2-week options available)

The eccentric chocolate factory owner Willy Wonka hides five golden tickets in candy bars around the world. Charlie Bucket is one of the lucky finders and as his prize he gets to visit the famous factory along with the other kids, all with hilariously different personalities. Inside, the group is taken on a journey filled with magic, mystery, and—of course—lots of chocolate!

Musical Theater Camp inspired by  Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Grades 2-7
6/3 - 8/2 (1-week, 2-week & 3-week options available)

Now in his fourth year at Hogwarts, Harry Potter's name is mysteriously drawn to compete in the Triwizard tournament, a notoriously dangerous tradition. Harry must keep his wits about him through each perilous task to avoid his foes and claim victory for his school. Campers will learn songs and scenes inspired by the popular movie and explore themes of bravery, friendship, and perseverance.

Musical Theater Camp inspired by The Little Mermaid

Grades K-7
6/3 - 8/2 (1-week & 2-week options available)

Dive down "under the sea" with us in this fun classic! Ariel is a young mermaid who yearns to live with human folk up on land. Campers will join Ariel and her friends Sebastian and Flounder, as well as a bevy of other characters, to sing musical favorites and act out an amazing journey that uncovers what it truly means to belong.

Triple Threat Musical Theater Camp

Grades 4-7
6/3 - 7/19 (1-week options available)

Students will explore what it takes to be a “triple threat”—a performer who can act, sing, and dance! Teachings throughout the class session will include monologue and scene work, group vocal lessons, and learning choreography.
