Fall 2022: After-School Musical Theater Classes

We have a new registration software called Jumbula! It will streamline the enrollment process for our education programming and we’re sure you will love it.

PAYMENT PLANS
All families have the option to pay in three installments at checkout. A deposit of ⅓ of the program cost is required at registration time, followed by two predetermined installment dates.
The installment dates for Fall 2022 Classes are 9/16 and 10/7 . If a date has passed, the system will add these installments to your deposit at time of registration.
Financial Aid Applicants: Please select the "Pay in full" option. You will be given the option to pay in installments when you receive your financial aid offer.

Story-Based Classes
Students will love these after-school classes inspired by the movies Sing and The Nightmare Before Christmas ! Choose from grade titles Playmakers, Showstoppers, and/or Limelighters* and get ready for your child to play games, dance, sing, make friends, and let their imagination soar!
*These groups were previously titled CORE.
Musical Theater Class: Playmakers
Inspired by Sing
Grades K-1 | Location: Berkeley Playhouse
Sing tells the story of a struggling theater producer (and Koala) who, faced with the crumbling of their life's ambition, takes one final chance to restore their dreams to former glory by staging the world's greatest singing competition. Various animal contestants emerge to compete and show off their talents in fun and hilarious fashion. Will one of them take home the grand prize and save the theater from closing?

Inspired by Sing
Grades 2-3 | Location: Berkeley Playhouse

Musical Theater Class: Limelighters
Inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas
Grades 3-6 | Location: Berkeley Playhouse
A Nightmare Before Christmas follows the misadventures of Jack Skellington, Halloweentown's beloved pumpkin king, who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people in the "real world." Jack soon accidentally stumbles upon other holiday towns, such as as Hanukkah, Valentine's Day, etc.; when they find Christmastown, all bright colors and warm spirits, they get a new lease on life and plot to bring Christmas under his control. Will Jack see their wishes fulfilled or will their plans go awry no matter the holiday?

Jazz Dance and Triple Threat Classes
Musical Theater Class: Teen Jazz Dance
Grades 6-12 | Location: Berkeley Playhouse
6-8pm, Wednesdays
September 14 - November 16
Students will focus on learning and improving jazz dance technique by honing their dance skills, such as turns, kicks and essential jazz steps, and learning combinations set to songs.
