About Our Fall Classes
This September-December, join us for our 10 to 12-week classes for grades PreK-9! Once-a-week performance classes, twice-a-week performance Core, or once-a-week skill-building options are available! Read on for themes, and find detailed info, including dates and times, further below.
Performance-Based ClassesThe Music Man: Grab your trombone and join us for this camp inspired by the legendary Broadway musical, packed full of quirky characters, barbershop quartets and one-of-a-kind moments.
Skill-Building ClassesBroadway Dance Workshop: Join us for a four-week workshop on beginning dance for musical theater! Students will build their familiarity with jazz dance techniques while learning FUN choreography that will help them improve their dance skills with some of our favorite dance teachers at Berkeley Playhouse. Families will be invited into the studio to watch a number performed during the last 15 minutes on the final day of class!
Triple Threat + Audition Showcase: This class will focus on honing each young actor's audition skills in singing, dancing, and acting. At the end, each actor will present a mock audition and will receive feedback from the artistic leadership at Berkeley Playhouse before presenting the showcase to friends and family.
What is Core Class?Core, for grades 3-6, introduces experienced performers to intermediate/advanced movement, vocal technique, character development and more. Students work twice a week to put on a final showing on the professional stage. We recommend that students take at least two non-core classes prior to enrolling. For acceptance into this class, students must submit an application.
